The Application Architect Sr. is responsible for designing and implementing robust, strategic applications or developing an emerging technology roadmap to ensure our solutions meet our current and future business goals, remain innovative, and provide Cenlar with a competitive advantage. This role will collaborate with the business unit teams and Technology functions to implement technology architecture solutions. This role reports to the SVP, Enterprise Architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures focused on strategic applications to meet current business needs
• Collaborates with cross-functional business unit teams and Technology team to define architectural standards and frameworks
• Ensures architecture consistency and alignment with business objectives and technology strategies
• Participates in architecture reviews and provides recommendations for improvements
• Oversees the implementation of architecture solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards
• Designs and implements architecture and cloud-based solutions
• Ensures the integration of applications with various data sources and third-party services
• Optimizes application performance and scalability through effective design and implementation
• Develops and enforces coding standards, best practices, and security protocols
• Mentors and guides development teams on architectural principles and practices
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues related to application architecture
• Develops and maintains a technology architecture roadmap that aligns with strategic goals
• Provides thought leadership and guidance on the adoption of innovative technologies and contributes to the strategic planning within the architecture space
• Researches and evaluates emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation, systems and processes
• Collaborates with stakeholders to prioritize technology initiatives and investments
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of related experience required
• Proven experience as an Application Architect or similar role focused on strategic applications to meet business needs
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices
• Strong knowledge in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to form relationships and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to influence and drive consensus across a diverse set of stakeholders and decision makers
• Ability to champion awareness and innovation across the enterprise

Pay Range Details

$111,850.00 - $177,842.00 Annually

The actual compensation offered will depend on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This range represents the reasonable minimum and maximum salary the company expects to pay for this position.
