The Material Handler is responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the receiving, staging, returning, shipping, storage, destruction, and inventory management of products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Unpacks and checks material received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received material, and rejects unsatisfactory items according to procedural requirements. Picks and stages material for Production work orders and packs material for shipments. Performs cycle counts, item verification, consolidation, and transfer of material. Responsible for adhering to good documentation practices defined by PCI.

The environment includes working in cold rooms at -20 degrees, requiring interaction with large freezers and refrigerated rooms. Employees are provided with jackets for comfort and can step out of cold environments as needed. The minimum lifting requirement is 20 lbs, with a maximum of 40 lbs. There is a potential future transfer to a newly opened large facility in Otay Mesa.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
