Project Based Role: This is a project based role with an anticipated duration of 2+ years.

Location: Santa Fe, NM

Compensation: The base salary for this position is $92,742.00

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Show Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the network infrastructure that powers our live and media-based attractions. This is an entry-to-mid-level role ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of networking concepts who is looking to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced entertainment technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and support of network systems for show-based environments, including both wired and wireless infrastructure.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers as needed.
  • Support the documentation of network layouts, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in network monitoring and assist in responding to alerts under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Assist in maintaining network security by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Show Control, IT, and Technical Operations to help ensure seamless integration and operation of networked systems.
  • Assist in testing and validating new technologies in lab or field settings.
  • Provide onsite and remote support during technical rehearsals, installations, and live show operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a network engineering, IT support, or related technical role (internships and school projects count).
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Familiarity with Cisco or similar networking equipment is a plus.
  • Understanding of cabling standards and hands-on experience with basic hardware installation.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and take direction from senior team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and scanners. This position also works in an indoor setting with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machine’s and small and/ or enclosed spaces.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical ability to walk, stand, take stairs/slides/elevators, and navigate the elements during the day and night. Employees may be required to remain in a sitting or standing position for prolonged periods, and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

The employee will comply with the company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, with business hours Monday through Friday, generally from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This position requires work outside of normal business hours to meet with Artists who may not be able to meet during those hours. The person holding this role needs to manage their work time as needed and coordinate their work hours with the Project’s Executive Creative Producer.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

This position does not require supervisory responsibility.

Travel

This position will require extensive travel (30 %+)
