Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a CNC Machinist where you will work on the 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible start and stop times between 6am and 2:30pm. You will play a crucial role in the fabrication of precision parts by operating milling machines and collaborating with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC and/or manual milling machines to fabricate precision parts. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions to determine machining processes and requirements.
• Tooling and Setup: Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories for machining tasks. Perform machine setup, including alignment, calibration, and tool adjustments.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications. Identify and troubleshoot machining issues to maintain high standards of quality.
• Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine maintenance on milling machines and ensure equipment is in good working condition. Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and team members to optimize machining processes and meet production goals. Provide feedback on design and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC milling machines (e.g., HAAS, the person, or Fanuc controls).
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a milling machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certifications in machining or CNC programming.
• Experience working in AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environments.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a team-oriented mindset.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with an open floor plan and individual workstations. The dress code includes closed-toe shoes or sneakers and clean jeans or shorts. Employees work the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to start between 6am and 9am while completing an 8-hour workday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
