Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team for both 1st and 2nd shifts. The role involves assembling switch points, turnouts, and crossovers according to blueprints and engineering drawings, ensuring precision and quality in each task.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble switch points, turnouts, and crossovers following blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Transport switch and turnout materials to and from the workstation.
  • Complete necessary documentation including routing tags and daily preventive maintenance forms.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd inch.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience with operating an overhead crane.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mechanical assembling techniques.
  • Experience with turnouts, crossovers, double slips, and crossings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
