Job Title: CNC Set Up Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Technician for our 2nd shift to perform multiple setups per day on CNC milling machines, specifically 3-axis and 5-axis Doosan Mills. The role involves working from blueprints, using micrometers and calipers for precise measurements, conducting first and last piece inspections, editing g and m code, troubleshooting, and performing minor preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform multiple setups per day on CNC milling machines.
  • Work from blueprints to guide machining processes.
  • Use micrometers and calipers to measure parts accurately.
  • Conduct first and last piece inspections to ensure quality.
  • Edit g and m code to optimize machine performance.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct minor preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in CNC setup and operation.
  • Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints.
  • Knowledge of lathe and machining processes.
  • Programming and troubleshooting skills in CNC technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in setting up and running CNC mills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience editing g and m code.

Work Environment

Work the 2nd shift hours from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional mandatory Fridays.
