Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join one of our three distinct assembly departments. These positions are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts, offering unique opportunities to work with advanced technologies in a clean and controlled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly tasks using hand and power tools, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
  • Handle mechanical brakes and clutches for medical equipment, farm machinery, and government products.
  • Maintain high attention to detail as you may assemble multiple products in a day, each with slight variations.
  • Ensure quality by using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Participate in soldering and epoxy machine operations, depending on department needs.
  • Work independently while maintaining task focus and productivity.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly.
  • At least 6 months experience using measuring tools.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding work instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with both hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hobby auto mechanics are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in medical assembly is beneficial.
  • Capability to progress to electronic or gearmotor assembly is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment equipped with bench assembly for mechanical brakes, gear motors, and drives. Operate in a low-volume, high product mix setting with up to 400 product variations, requiring meticulous attention to detail. Wear gloves during assembly to maintain cleanliness and protect from oils and adhesives. Experience a spacious and well-organized facility that supports a leader in automation technology.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $25.00/hr.
