Job Summary

The professional Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of skilled, high patient care; for assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating nursing practice in accordance with the mission of Doctors Hospital of Manteca and the Patient Care Services division. He/she demonstrates a high degree of critical thinking, technical skill, initiative, integrity, accuracy and nursing judgement in an interdisciplinary practice. Maintains competence to provide care Multi-Specialty, ICU/CCU, Emergency and Perinatal patients. Frequently floats to each inpatient unit. Performs other duties as required.

Experience: 2 – 3 YEARS

Training: Must have completed an approved Critical Care class and have superior arrhythmia recognition skills. Must have taken Critical Care medication test and passed with 85%

Licenses / Certification: Active California RN license, Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS upon hire. PALS within 6 months of assuming position. CCRN preferred.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Proficient at DHM Multi-Specialty, ED and Critical Care core skills.

Equipment Requirements: PCA pump, Accucheck Inform, I.V. controllers; proficient in use of Space Labs monitors; proficient in use of PYXIS (auto med dispenser), Advanced Airway Box, Broselow Bag, Order Communication system, PCSS (staffing acuity system) Mednet and ExitCare (discharge instructions).
