Compliance Monitoring & Testing Officer

We are looking for a Compliance Monitoring & Testing Officer in our Compliance Team.

The Compliance Team is an essential component of Funding Circle’s risk management

framework which means working to identify, mitigate and monitor our regulatory, reputation

and conduct risks. We advise and work with Business Teams to enable compliance with

regulatory requirements and Funding Circle policies. Additionally, we monitor and test Business

Teams’ adherence to policies and provide assurance to senior management.

Your role as a Compliance Monitoring & Testing Officer will be to work closely with your

Compliance and Business Team colleagues to support the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring

& Testing plan. You will be able to handle day to day work independently, without supervision.

Your testing outputs will provide a clear picture of how the business is complying with its

obligations, identify areas for development and make constructive recommendations for

improvement.

The role

  • Understand the laws and regulations applicable to Funding Circle and confidently advise the business based on industry best practice or regulatory expectations.
  • Carry out regular testing without supervision and identify opportunities to improve testing.
  • Support Manager in review work whilst developing a deeper understanding of testing

methodologies.

  • Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or

control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day.

  • Develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and deliver outputs from

testing.

  • Organise and undertake your assigned activities efficiently and to a high professional

standard, keeping relevant parties informed of progress, and maintain well-organised

records of work undertaken.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communicator - strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
