Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Change Management Office (CMO) in the assessment and management of change management efforts at the system level and at the project level. Provide training to create a culture of change management. Plan, direct, and coordinate large to medium change management efforts in various functional areas within or across several locations. Typically reports to the Network Performance Team – Performance Improvement (NPT-PI) Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.

Licenses/Certifications: Change Management certification required; Prosci Certified Change Practitioner preferred.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Five (5) years of Change Management experience required; experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Advanced collaboration, change management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine passion for and commitment to implementing changes that enhances the patient experience.
  • Highly knowledgeable about healthcare landscape and current trends in change management.
  • Responds well to and enjoys change; works well under pressure.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining executive relationships.
  • Experience leading others in high performance and high-stress situations; manages expectations; calm under pressure.
  • Strong critical thinking skills; ability to develop solutions that address client needs.
  • Excellent communicator who thinks well on their feet and can persuade client to action.
  • Pro-active, can-do attitude.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements people adoption strategies to drive change to realize Memorial Hermann strategic goals.
  • Supports the execution of a system-wide Change Management strategy.
  • Provides training and coaching to leaders and executives as they lead their teams through change efforts.
  • Develops and updates change management training materials.
  • Coaches teams members in the application of change management methodology.
  • Builds strong client relationships and is viewed as a trusted advisor by drawing upon methodology best practices to recommend solutions.
  • Adapts change management solutions to succeed within individual department cultures while maintaining alignment with Memorial Hermann priorities.
  • Identifies and implements change networks to ensure change efforts are sustained long-term.
  • Assesses projects to identify change management needs and creates tailored implementation plans.
  • Effectively collaborates with project management and process improvement subject matter experts to align change management recommendations with the project plan.
  • Facilitates workshops on change management topics.
  • Clearly communicates the status of change management efforts to key stakeholders.
  • Develops complex and tailored communication plans to enhance and support change management efforts, in partnership with Internal Communications, Marketing, Strategy, Human Resources, EDI, etc.
  • Plans, organizes, and moderates effective meetings for executive audiences.
  • Moves toward solution despite aggressive schedules and discouraging developments.
  • Draws upon healthcare knowledge, trends, and experiences to identify and eliminate barriers to change.
  • Provides thoughtful, timely, and specific feedback to team members and stakeholders.
  • Supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
