Job Title: Project/Program Manager

Job Description

The Project/Program Manager will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across multidisciplinary engineering teams and external vendors. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of complex rail vehicle programs, from concept through delivery, with a focus on systems integration, supplier coordination, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex rail vehicle programs on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, suppliers, and customers, representing the technical and programmatic interests of the organization.
  • Oversee the design, development, and integration of vehicle electrical systems, including embedded hardware/software, circuits, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Manage subsystem vendors, ensuring timely delivery of compliant products through proactive input and supervision.
  • Supervise the verification and validation (V&V) process, including RAMS engineering and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting of LRV electrical and mechanical systems; evaluate and document results.
  • Drive requirement management and traceability across all subsystems and project phases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to talent development within the engineering team.

  • Experience in project management and engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on engineering work within the subway, commuter, and light rail environment, including investigations of equipment malfunctions, modifications, and reporting findings.
  • Ability to develop technical specifications for new and upgraded train equipment and systems.
  • Experience in reviewing design submittals and preparing detailed descriptions of review findings.

Work Environment

This position operates within a dynamic and collaborative engineering environment focused on rail vehicle systems. The role requires coordination across various subsystems and involves both office-based and fieldwork settings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
