Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to support their high-performance Equity electronic trading platform. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the quality of trading algorithms, quantitative analytics, and related services, working closely with QA, development, and quant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for trading applications and services.
  • Collaborate with the QA Tech Lead on framework design and automation strategy.
  • Translate algo specs into comprehensive test coverage scenarios.
  • Analyze system logs and platform data for test validation and defect analysis.
  • Track and manage bugs, acting as an advocate for quality throughout the lifecycle.
  • Partner with developers, quants, and product teams to ensure requirements are met.
  • Provide Level 2 production support for trading systems.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field.
  • 5+ years in QA for Equity electronic trading, including automation.
  • 3+ years of scripting in Python, Java, or similar within trading environments.
  • Hands-on with OMS/EMS platforms (e.g., Fidessa, FlexTrade, Triton).
  • Proficient in FIX protocol, Linux/Bash scripting, and SQL.
  • Solid knowledge of US, EMEA, and APAC market structures and trading mechanisms.
  • Familiar with Dark Pool Aggregation, Smart Order Routing, and Execution Algos.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins or related CI/CD tools.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to low-latency messaging technologies (Solace, 29West).
  • Effective team collaboration and stakeholder communication across levels.

Compensation: $180,000 - 200,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
