About the Role

As the Head of Sales - Modernization, you will be responsible for leading modernization sales and offering development within the unit. You will develop and implement business strategies to achieve short- and long-term goals, ensuring profitability, market share growth, and competitive positioning. You will work closely with the Area Operations and Global/Area Modernization teams to drive business development initiatives and improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive outstanding performance in safety and quality within the modernization business.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, including tender processes.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture, ensuring early engagement and consultative selling.
  • Utilize customer feedback to enhance modernization offerings and services.
  • Lead modernization business growth, profitability, and competitiveness.
  • Set and monitor key performance metrics, including market share, revenue growth, and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize modernization processes and offerings.
  • Develop and execute frontline management practices to drive business success.
  • Drive modernization sales and go-to-market strategies for new solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with KONE Way initiatives and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with global and area teams to share best practices and enhance modernization strategies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the modernization business team.
  • Identify training needs and competence gaps to support business growth.
  • Success in this role will be measured by: Market share growth and revenue performance. Profitability improvements and customer satisfaction. Sales performance, win rate, and hit rate development. Effective execution of modernization strategies and initiatives.

  • Background in the elevator, construction, or B2B industries.
