In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

A material /supplier/product master analyst will create and maintain records that contain data that is valid for the whole company: the material number, the material description, the assigned material group, the base unit of measure, the weight, and so on. This data is maintained at the client level in the material master.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Master Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing material master data to support business decisions and optimize supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management

  • Maintain and update material master data in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and implement data validation rules to ensure data consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data discrepancies and errors

Data Analysis

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support business needs
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve material master data processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process changes

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Provide data analysis and insights to support business decisions and drive process improvements
  • Communicate complex data concepts and insights to stakeholders at all levels

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Experience

  • Preferably with experience in material master, finished products data analysis or a related field
  • Experience with ERP systems, data analysis tools, and data visualization software

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of material master data concepts and supply chain operations

Tools and Technologies

  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools, such as Excel or Access
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP
