The SWP Change Team (UK) is accountable for the success of all implementation and conversion activities within the SEI (UK) Private Banking Wealth Platform Business. The SWP Change team provides standardised project management, consulting, queue management, project execution, specialised product support (SMEs), and communication to the client firm and SEI organisations.

The SWP Change UK programme manager is responsible for delivering complex, multi-threaded, multi-disciplinary implementations of the SWP Solution. The role requires effective co-ordination of the programme’s projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising, with a large focus on building and maintaining stakeholder management of both internal and most critically client-side.

The role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum in both the internal and client teams. Crucially at SEI, this role will also involve having a detailed understanding of the specific SEI technology and service solutions.

The programme manager is responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme. The programmes will typically involve the coordination of implementation activity across multiple SEI market units; whose methodologies may vary. They will develop and maintain the programme environment to support each individual project within it – with an effective programme management office.

What you’ll do:

Programme

  • Implementing an appropriate internal programme structure following the standard SWP implementation framework and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Jointly defining the programme's governance arrangements with the firm and ensuring that internal governance structure is synchronised with the joint structure while allowing internal stakeholders visibility and provide decision-making inputs
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with the firms wider programme whilst ensuring all internal & applicable external corporate, technical and specialist standards are met
  • Where required manage the programme's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses
  • Facilitate the appointment of individuals to project teams
  • Ensure the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements
  • Ensure there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects and take appropriate load-balancing where required within the constraints of the programme.
  • Manage third party contributions to the programme (as required)
  • Manage effective, timely and clear communications with all stakeholders
  • Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Manage risks to the programme's successful outcome
  • Monitor and lead intervention activities wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise
  • Coordination with appropriate market unit solution lead, feeding solution development requirements into the overall solution roadmap.
  • Coordination with other market unit implementation leads to ensure the implementation plan is fully integrated and cohesive for all units involved.
  • Partnership with SEI relationship management and client service teams to ensure clean hand-off to ongoing servicing relationship.
  • Design and communicate effective programme, communications and stakeholder plans
  • Identify and present solutions to potential issues that may arise over the programme lifecycle as well as within individual project streams
  • Manage a core group of people within the Client Change team in the programme to ensure day-to-day project activities are completed effectively to defined deadlines
  • Open communication and management of programme status, potential risks and issues to the client and SEI
  • Update and keep senior stakeholders (SEI and Client) informed of progress on of the overall programme as well as underlying project streams
  • Ensure management information is provided to highlight the impact of milestone shifts on the overall programme status and live date viability.
  • Coordinate and lead programme level internal and joint steering committee meetings. Monitor and oversee project internal and joint steering committee meetings
  • Build effective client relationships during the programme phase
  • Oversight and management of all tasks associated with programmes

Pre-Sales/Pre-Project

  • Assist technical sales in mapping out prospective clients’ business models to align them to SWP and define the implementation programme approach
  • Represent the Change team in meetings with prospective clients explaining how the team works within the context of SEI and ongoing client relationships

Ongoing Management, Client Change activities

  • Identify future sales opportunities with clients where business needs align with SEI Services.
  • Communicate ongoing client requirements to relevant internal SEI teams
  • Assist Client Relationship Manager or Director (RM/RD) with technical and strategic business initiatives to ensure long-term requirements are consistently aligned with SEI’s future solutions
  • Ensure projects are following SWP programme/project framework in terms of operating procedures and documentation
  • Take on a leadership role within the Change team, assisting in the career development and mentoring of team members.

Other

  • Keep current – (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc.) and maintain ongoing and effective communication and alignment of these with client business practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the Operations Implementations, SWP Delivery teams and where appropriate senior stakeholders within SEI.
  • Serve as a client advocate through regular, collaborative interactions with other SEI teams.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects as required

What we need from you:

  • Ideally degree educated (or equivalent) with Wealth Management or Private Banking industry experience. This should include a working knowledge of the industry dynamics, business strategies, products and operating platforms
  • Significant experience delivering a variety of projects within financial services environment
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, with a proactive / self-starter mentality
  • Experience working in agile software environment
  • Hands on experience working with platform technology (advantageous)
  • Strong ability to build and maintain short and long term relationships within large-scale organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills
  • Prince 2, Agile PM or similar qualification (advantageous)
  • The ability to be credible in communications with senior personnel
  • Proficient IT skills - all Microsoft office products and able to pick up other systems/databases easily
