The opportunity

Delaware North is searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team. This role blends advanced technical experience with leadership responsibilities and plays a key role in managing our hybrid cloud and SD WAN-enabled global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in AWS networking, Aruba EdgeConnect and Core Switching, SD-WAN, Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls and dynamic routing protocols expertise to the team. As a senior engineer, you will mentor engineers, oversee daily operations, and drive the deployment of secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess solid network infrastructure experience, project management acumen, vendor management skills, plus a superior, service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations. This role will be a significant contributor to our long range network goals.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $100,700 - $136,000 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

  • Oversee, design, configure, and deploy company voice and data networks for headquarters and global networks
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess the needs and direction of short and long-term network capacity
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration and support, optimization, usage, and disaster recovery
  • Monitor and test the Delaware North network performance and troubleshoot problem areas, as well as ensure correct documentation of all operations activities related to supporting compliance mandates, including PCI, data privacy, and cyber-security
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the IT infrastructure implementation for integrations

More about you

  • Bachelor's degree or college or university accredited equivalent from an information management, computer science, computer systems engineering, business administration, mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' related experience in the implementation, management and maintenance of information technology infrastructure and IT systems including cloud architectures, business systems, server technologies, and communication technologies, LANs, WANs, telephone, voice, video and data communication systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concerns to non-technical individuals
  • Working knowledge of the OSI model and basic networking technologies, as well as demonstrated experience and thorough understanding of network design, planning and implementation, security principles and general network management best practices
  • Cisco and Aruba Wireless LAN (WiFi) controllers and access points, as well as experience with Cisco ASA and VPN, Tellabs GPON infrastructure, QoS and performance monitoring tools, cloud networking and AWS VPC, and with Microsoft unified communications, superior understanding of network routing, and switching protocols, as well as travel within North America Up to 20% of the time
