Amazon’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) is looking for a Principal Supply Chain Manager for the Supply Chain Strategic Programs team in defining and shaping Amazon’s supply chain's long-term strategy. We are responsible for end-to-end cost to serve strategy and profitability initiatives across Operations to drive step-functional changes to the operations network. Our solutions address the needs of the inbound and outbound network in order to meet the speed, cost, and resiliency demands of our customers. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of how products flow through the Amazon network, identify areas of opportunity, and collaborate with teams across Retail/FBA, Operations, and Tech to drive disruptive ideas. You will develop original analyses to solve ambiguous business challenges, and optimize end-to-end network designs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Exercise high judgment in delivering recommendations and drive holistic discussions on trade-offs, assumptions, and downstream impacts.
  • Model optimal network design minimizing for cost given business goals and constraints.
  • Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations.
  • Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end cost structure for Amazon customers.
  • Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment; conduct competitor studies and identify new opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 7+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
