DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Oracle Partner Solutions Architect, to help AWS Partners and Customers to transform their mission critical Oracle workloads on AWS. The Senior Oracle Partner solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate and modernize their existing Oracle workloads to the cloud, include databases, datawarehouses and mission critical enterprise applications. You must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

We are looking for people that have a strong understanding of large-scale Oracle implementation. You will have past experience working as a Database Architect/Engineer/Admin and designing complex solutions on cloud. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will guide AWS Partners and other internal teams to create world-class joint solutions built on AWS

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions and architectural design sessions with partners and customers to develop Oracle-based solutions on AWS on AWS RDS, RDS for Custom , EC2 and ODB@AWS.
  • Create and validate reference architectures on AWS
  • Provide technical guidance on migrating and modernizing Oracle workloads on AWS cloud environments
  • Evaluate partner solutions and provide recommendations for optimization •
  • Develop technical content, including whitepapers, best practices, and implementation guides •
  • Guide partners identify both the opportunities and risks with their technical decisions.

  • You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience with Oracle databases and applications
  • 5+ years with Oracle RAC, Exadata, DataGuard, ASM
  • Experience with Oracle applications (e.g., E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Understanding of modern data architecture and analytics
  • Oracle certifications (OCA/OCP/OCM)
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale Oracle solutions
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and migration strategies
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database architecture, administration, and optimization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
