QA Engineer (Optimization Software)

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability and performance of our cutting-edge optimization software.

Job Summary:

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and accuracy of software products built on complex optimization models. You will work closely with developers, data scientists, and product managers toensure our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software features and optimization models.
• Validate the correctness and performance of mathematical optimization results.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into test strategies.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Automate testing processes where applicable to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software QA, preferably in a technical or scientific domain.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
• Experience testing applications involving mathematical models, optimization algorithms, or data analytics.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with optimization libraries (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, or similar).
• Understanding of linear programming, mixed-integer programming, or other mathematical optimization techniques.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g.,MS Azure Google cloud)
