Job Title: Molding Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Technician to join our operations team. The successful candidate will monitor and explain deviations from expected Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), perform necessary operator checklists, and collect data on quality measurements. You will be responsible for correcting any deviations from quality standards to ensure products meet specifications and for monitoring and responding to any discrepancies within SPC charting. Additionally, you will communicate problems, progress reports, and continuous improvement ideas to management staff, maintenance, and production personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to deviations in SPC charting.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as outlined by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Troubleshoot machine and process issues.
  • Maintain accurate production reporting documentation.
  • Perform scheduled production equipment changeovers.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as outlined by the plant PM program.
  • Manage preventative maintenance tasks in Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in 'showroom condition' post-maintenance.
  • Evaluate equipment for improvement areas and tag components needing repair or replacement.
  • Operate powered industrial truck, boom lift, and scissor lift per OSHA regulations.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ensure all production is properly labeled and tagged.

Work Environment

Work in a SQF certified, very clean manufacturing environment with 70 employees. Available shifts include weekend mornings, first shift, second shift, and third shift. Training for all positions will initially take place on the first shift. Employees are required to be on call once every 11 to 12 days.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rockford, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $45760.00/yr.
