Aerotek is hiring immediately for machine operators! We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator/General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting assigned machines. You will operate a production machine in accordance with pre-established job instructions, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring the inspection of parts during production to maintain quality specifications. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines in a timely manner.
• Monitor and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts during production to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Handle various materials including fiberglass, foam, and rubber.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use a calculator.
• Reliability and willingness to work 40+ hours per week.
• Capability to stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Competency in bending, pushing, and pulling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, machine operation, general labor, assembly, packaging, and general production.
• Familiarity with using a tape measure, CNC, hand tools, and packing.
• Comfortable working with insulation materials, which can be itchy.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment. The role requires working with various materials and may involve exposure to insulation. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
