Release and Deployment Coordinator
About this Position
You will be part of an origination platform technical team, partnering with Business Analysts and Developers to ensure adequate test coverage and compliance of deployments on a scheduled monthly basis and any adhoc deployment needs.
We are looking for individuals with experience and proficiency in managing software deployments, who are highly familiar with a standardized System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and on-premise application environments.
As a Release and Deployment Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving software developers focused on ticketing (ITSM), metrics, and meeting security components.
You will partner closely with the business analysts and developers to understand critical issues, prioritize the most important efforts, and facilitating and managing deployment of solutions.
This role will challenge you to ensure fixes, enhancements, modernizations efforts, and upgrades to the systems are properly defined, planned, and tracked.

Technical Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies, and activities in technical analysis; ability to forecast the direction of technical landscape using technical indicators and take collective actions.

Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
Level Basic Understanding:
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Level Basic Understanding:
Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
Level Basic Understanding:
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Level Basic Understanding:
System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
Level Basic Understanding:
System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range:
$72,672.00 - $135,444.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
