Job Title: Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Material Handler for our 2nd shift operations. This role involves handling materials, organizing inventory, and ensuring efficient movement of parts between departments. You'll play a vital part in maintaining a clean and orderly workspace while adhering to FIFO protocols.

Responsibilities

• Handle and move materials between departments.
• Shake out parts after cutting and prepare them for subsequent steps.
• Maintain inventory organization and follow FIFO (first in, first out) principles.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate labels and part counts.
• Match packing lists to outgoing shipments.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation and certification.
• Hands-on experience with parts movement and preparation.
• Production experience.
• 2+ years in material handling, manufacturing, or warehouse work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined, comfortable working around steel, machines, and tools.
• Reliable and dependable, with strong follow-through.
• Detail-focused, with a keen eye for noticing discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.

Work Environment

Work four days a week, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. The initial training period will be on the 1st Shift from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM before transitioning to the 2nd Shift. Enjoy a clean, safe, and well-organized shop with a focus on solid and efficient work.

This is a Contract position based out of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
