Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various machinery and equipment to ensure efficient production processes. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and safety while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up raw material along the production line.
  • Operate both Palletizers and Shingle wrappers.
  • Operate stretch wrappers for all pallets and banding equipment.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts, mules, sweepers, and scrubbers.
  • Load and stack rewraps and inspect the quality of finished products.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the shingle machine, clear jams, and assist other areas as needed.
  • Build pallets and clean and maintain the manufacturing equipment and production area.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in physical labor and general production.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work with basic hand tools.
  • Experience working 12-hour shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Assembler or machine operator experience preferred.
  • Mechanical inclination and ability to work with hand tools.
  • Capability to work in hot and cold environments.

Work Environment

This role operates within a heavy industrial environment, requiring standing and walking for extended periods. The work schedule is a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, with 12-hour shifts either from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, including working every other weekend. The environment can be loud and temperature control is limited, affected by seasonal weather. Expect to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods and handle products repeatedly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.90 - $21.90/hr.
