Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing a variety of equipment, including ICEE and restaurant equipment such as non-carbonated dispensers, fountain beverage equipment, ice makers, and juice dispensers. This role requires you to work with minimal supervision and attend weekly meetings at the Service Center. You will be dispatched to service calls at client sites and provided with a company vehicle, uniforms, tools, cell phone, and gas card.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on ICEE and restaurant equipment.
  • Diagnose service problems and make necessary repairs.
  • Check the quality of all products, including syrup levels and flavors.
  • Clean and maintain machines and surrounding areas.
  • Travel throughout the Milwaukee area using a company-provided service vehicle.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Technician.
  • HVAC or refrigeration experience.
  • Mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Troubleshooting abilities.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and preventive maintenance skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with small mechanical sub-assemblies and installation.
  • Proficient in using hand tools like pliers, screwdrivers, and wire crimpers.
  • Comfortable with touchscreen devices such as tablets and smartphones.
  • Graduate of a Technical or Vocational School is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs regularly and occasionally over 70 lbs.
  • Ability to drive more than 40% of the time.

Work Environment

Work from Tuesday to Saturday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with options for overtime and additional days. Start your career on the day shift, Monday to Friday, until fully trained, after which you will transition to a flexible schedule. Travel to various locations, including convenience stores, restaurants, and major retail stores like Target and Walmart, using the provided service vehicle.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
