The pay range is $113,000.00 - $203,000.00

A role in Finance Capabilities means partnering with Finance, Technology, and cross-functional leaders to co-create solutions that maximize business value and enable key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly an owner and expert of Finance and our capabilities, you will set the vision, align on the roadmap and mobilize teams to deliver needed outcomes. Given most strategies have a Finance impact, you will also serve as a trusted resource to guide other enterprise partners in their solutions to ensure the success and integrity of end-to-end deliverables.

The Finance Strategy & Operations team within Finance Capabilities is focused on advancing Target and Finance’s strategy by driving strategic alignment and enabling seamless delivery across our portfolio of products, capabilities and priorities. Our team is comprised of three arms – Strategic Planning, Priority Enablement, and Product Operations. Each team partners closely with each other and our partners across Finance, Finance Capabilities, Technology, and the rest of Target. We work horizontally to support the Finance Capability verticals, enabling capability-aligned teams and allowing them to drive greater outcomes.

As a Products Ops Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the product portfolio by bringing data and insights about our users into conversations and ceremonies. You will leverage your prior experience to engage multiple levels of product in the creation and implementation of team routines that reflect product thinking and connection to OKRs as well as enable portfolio level intention maps that fuel collaboration across product. You will be responsible for bringing visibility to dependencies and risks across the portfolio and providing visibility of progress to our Product KPIs through metric visualization and analysis. You are accountable for collaborating across our product and operations teams to improve our core competencies around strategic planning, portfolio health, and communication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the portfolio-level road/intention map and the process to keep it up to date and accurate
  • Execute on the communication framework for our product portfolio to provide visibility to the progress and KPIs associated to the technical investment (including analyzing and preparing data to inform the strategy)
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback; leveraging insights to help product teams prioritize changes needed to increase adoption and end user experience
  • Advocating for and supporting best practices in tools, processes, documentation and communication across the product teams and with stakeholders
  • Uplift product capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and modeling how Product Ops drives strategic clarity and operational excellence
  • Be a strategic thought partner to Product Ops leadership, helping shape the evolution of the function and amplify its impact
  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of the Product Ops strategy across Finance, ensuring it enables product team outcomes.
  • Drive day-to-day execution of the Product Ops strategy within Finance, surfacing insights and opportunities to improve team effectiveness.
  • Operationalize the Product Ops strategy across Finance by aligning ways of working, removing friction points, and enabling product team success.
  • Activate the Product Ops strategy in Finance, partnering across teams to translate strategy into consistent, effective practices.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of product management, product ops, and/or equivalent domain experience, preferably with a strong focus on Finance
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Ability to self-organize and lead through ambiguity
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology across Operations, Product, and Technology
  • Ability to influence peers and partners to find common ground, push for consistency where possible, facilitate conversations, and navigate competing interests.
  • Curiosity and passion for problem solving
  • Experience creating and delivering product tools & stakeholder materials

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
