CTG is seeking to fill a Sr. Director ELT Data Architect opening for our client in New York.

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 – 12 months, temp to hire

Duties:

  • Provide strategic direction for modernizing enterprise data architecture using innovative solutions including data fabric, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Artificial Intelligence
  • Design and build enterprise data models that integrate disparate internal and third-party data sources for democratized access
  • Architect scalable, cloud-based data pipelines and integrations supporting mission-critical applications, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
  • Lead development and maintenance of 10+ data pipelines, enabling effective data access and decision-making across departments
  • Drive the implementation of API-based services for enterprise data connectivity in partnership with Technology teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture and data design
  • Manage performance tuning, troubleshooting, and support for ETL/ELT processes and applications
  • Oversee upgrades to drivers, APIs, and associated data integrations in development and production environments
  • Mentor and support team members, including ETL developers, data engineers, analysts, and BI developers
  • Document technical requirements, conduct code reviews, and participate in Agile ceremonies

Skills:

  • Proven expertise in data fabric, LLMs, and AI technologies
  • Extensive hands-on experience in data warehousing, modeling, and ETL/ELT architecture
  • Strong command of cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell
  • Strong understanding of API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) and enterprise systems including Salesforce, SAP Commerce Cloud, NetSuite, OpSuite, and Qualtrics
  • Deep familiarity with industry best practices in data security, governance, and privacy
  • Proficient in tools and environments such as Informatica, AWS, Azure Blob, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
  • Strong SQL programming and performance tuning capabilities
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in a data integration and transformation-driven role
  • 10+ years in data architecture and data warehousing environments
  • Experience managing complex enterprise data landscapes, including large-scale data migration and transformation efforts
  • Experience leading development and support of mission-critical ETL/ELT processes in a multi-platform ecosystem
  • Demonstrated experience building modern data architectures supporting AI and ML solutions
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Looker preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required
  • Master’s degree in a related field is a plus
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core and SnowPro Data Engineer certifications are a plus

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $55.00/hour to $85.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
