We are seeking a skilled machine operator to join our team. The role involves measuring beams of steel and metal to customer order size using a tape measure, operating an auto saw machine, and primarily working with laser machines. You will be trained to set up and use hand and power tools for assembling carts, pallets, and other products, as well as operating robotic welding machines. A strong machine operating background is essential, and experience in heavy manufacturing and shop equipment is advantageous.

Work in a medium-sized facility with ongoing metal fabrication and a newly invested state-of-the-art air quality cleaner. The facility is set to be professionally cleaned over the coming months. There are currently 36 permanent employees, with growth expected. The main building houses racking for raw materials, saw operation, robotic welders, welding booths, press brake, laser cutting, manifold assembly, cleaning tanks, specialty testing area, and an upstairs inventory. Across the street is the second building, featuring automation and panel building, flexible lead area, braiding machines, assembly benches, and a small classroom for customer training.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Illinois.
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
