Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist with a Master’s or PhD in Statistics or a related quantitative field to join our growing team within our clients Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDIA) organization. This role focuses on developing data-driven solutions for used vehicle valuation and demand forecasting, leveraging real-world data, advanced analytics, and machine learning. You’ll work across the full data science lifecycle—from data acquisition and exploratory analysis to model development and deployment—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire, clean, and process messy, real-world data from diverse sources.
  • Conduct thorough Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and generate hypotheses.
  • Translate complex business challenges into structured data science problems.
  • Develop, train, and evaluate statistical and machine learning models (e.g., prediction, classification, clustering, forecasting).
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy models into production with scalability and reliability.
  • Communicate findings and model results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Iterate on models based on performance feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Stay current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and related technologies.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with real-world data acquisition and processing.
  • Proficient in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA).
  • Skilled in statistical modeling and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with model deployment processes or collaboration with deployment teams.
  • Ability to translate business questions into data-driven problems.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in at least one major data science programming language (e.g., Python, R).

  • Preferred: PhD in a related quantitative field.

  • Current work model is hybrid (1 day onsite per week), but this may change to full onsite based on corporate requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $59.00/hr.
