As an Observability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and availability of our log management and metrics platforms. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining robust observability solutions using modern automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages.

This position does require the ability to obtain a public trust clearance!

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable monitoring and alerting systems.
• Architect and manage large-scale log aggregation solutions.
• Build and optimize ingestion pipelines and data transformation workflows.
• Champion automation—identify and eliminate manual tasks through scripting and configuration management.
• Implement and maintain observability tools like Dynatrace OR ElasticSearch
• Use Python for scripting and automation purposes.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready to support compliance and certification efforts.
• Lead troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance tuning initiatives.
• Research and implement new monitoring capabilities, including custom code development.
• Develop and enforce monitoring policies, templates, and automation scripts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with observability tools (Dynatrace OR Elastic Search) in an admin, SME, or architect capacity.
• Strong experience with log pipeline tools (Filebeat, Logstash, Fluentbit/Fluentd).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
• Deep knowledge of Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure and application automation across cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and performance tuning.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance!

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
