Position Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Manager Senior will set direction, deploying resources, managing others and ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. The individual will control and direct the activities of a broad functional area through several department Senior Managers and Managers. They will have the overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expenses, priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. They have accountability for budget and policy recommendations and medium to long-term planning. They will also adapt and execute functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate daily/weekly/monthly safety meetings and lead/assist in the resolution of safety items
  • Responsible for providing a safe work environment including employee adherence to guidelines and ensuring that safety audits and checks are performed as required
  • Own built-in-quality for all production processes in the assembly
  • Accountable for the onboarding, training, and mentoring of direct reports
  • Must attain key metrics in safety, quality, efficiency, delivery and morale
  • Design and implement continuous improvement processes uses Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodologies
  • Develop and adhere to financial budget for areas of accountability
  • Responsible for cultivating a healthy high-performance culture through-out the organization, including both management and hourly

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 10 years of production/manufacturing experience
  • At least 4 years of management experience

OR

  • Master’s degree
  • At least 8 years of production/manufacturing experience
  • At least 4 years of management experience

OR

  • At least 12 years of production/manufacturing experience
  • At least 4 years of management experience

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
