Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Junior Software Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. Our team is developing software for Flight Controls of the aircraft. You will participate in design, development, testing and implementing software solution for Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS). In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will define system requirements and ensure the efficient and timely completion of software projects. Your expertise in software engineering and problem-solving will contribute to shaping the future of Aerospace industry.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components. Responsibilities

  • Development of the Flight Controls software using C/C++.
  • Participation in the following stages of software development: requirements definition, design, coding, testing and documentation of the software in accordance with aerospace guidelines
  • Development of supporting internal tools.
  • Cooperation with colleagues from other global teams, mainly with colleagues in US and India

Qualifications

  • University education in Engineering field with IT/programming background
  • Knowledge of programming C/C++ and/or Python
  • Communicative knowledge of English language as you will be in regular contact with colleagues in the US/India
  • Technical writing skills
