At PDS Tech Commercial, the CNC Programmer/Operator plays a critical role in turning engineering designs into high-quality prototype and production parts. You’ll program and operate advanced CNC machinery, working closely with the Research & Development team to push the boundaries of product development. Your expertise ensures that every part meets exact specifications and fuels our innovation.

Pay Range: $20–$40/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

What You’ll Do Every Day

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering models to program CNC machines accurately
• Collaborate with the R&D Shop Supervisor and Project Manager to develop machining programs tailored to project needs
• Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently, producing quality parts for prototypes and production
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment checks to ensure optimal machine performance
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols
• Communicate clearly with supervisors about daily production targets and any issues
• Attend trainings and meetings to keep skills and certifications up to date
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and empowerment within the team

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of CNC programming and operation experience
• Expert proficiency reading mechanical drawings and using drawing software such as SolidWorks and Mastercam
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and company values
• Flexibility to travel between locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with diverse materials like wood, metal, plastic, adhesives, and wiring
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusive work environments
