Salary: $18.72

We are helping a Food Manufacturer in Westfield, IN find a Production Machine Operator. You will be a key member of a 3-person team responsible for operating our client's production lines as efficiently as possible while producing high-quality products.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Hours: Tuesday-Friday 9:30AM to 8:00PM so you will enjoy three-day weekends.

This job is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

What will you be doing as a Production Machine Operator?

  • Successfully complete all training requirements to become a Production Operator - Level 1.
  • Accept and quality check the production materials staged by the material handlers (verify correct lot numbers, quantities, etc.).
  • Load top and bottom canisters in each conveyor correctly and operate in accordance with production standards.
  • Load product mix into each fill station correctly and operate in accordance with production standards.
  • Load all label material (side, top, bottom) in the label station and operate in accordance with production standards.
  • Operate the Checkweigher/Metal Detector in accordance with quality standards.
  • Accurately set the “Best By” date on the inkjetter.
  • Perform a pre-operations inspection with the QA Manager.
  • Understand status/error indicators and their appropriate corrective action.
  • Thorough understanding of all shift QC documentation and their proper submission process.
  • Clean all workstations and prep for the following shift.
  • Consistently meet daily production efficiency standards set by the production team.
  • Ensure all food safety and internal operating protocols are followed.

What qualifications will you have as a Production Machine Operator?

  • Previous experience as a machine operator, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and make machine adjustments.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality production standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different machine setups
