As a Software Engineer with Trimble's Civil Field Solutions team, you'll be a key player in developing on-machine solutions for heavy construction equipment,(examples: bulldozers, excavators, and pavers).
You'll join a team building applications that enhance operator efficiency and safety through automation and productivity tools. These applications gather sensor data via various communication technologies (CAN, Ethernet, WiFi, cellular, and serial), process it in near real-time, and communicate with onboard users, cloud endpoints, and other field systems.
And the best part? You'll see your work come to life firsthand by testing your applications in real-time at our heavy construction equipment site, a dedicated space right here on campus!
Primary Tech Stack:
Your work will center around the backend Rust application, running on embedded Linux devices with web-based user interfaces.

Trimble Civil Field Solutions develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries. These products utilize technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. They are used in a variety of applications where accurate horizontal and vertical guidance is essential for machine operators.
