About the role

As an Ab Initio Developer, you will make an impact by providing services through the design, development, and maintenance of data integration solutions using Ab Initio and related technologies. You will be a valued member of the Banking & Financial Services team, working collaboratively with AIA leaders.

In this role, you will:

  • Designed and developed robust data integration solutions using Ab Initio tools, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Implemented efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Optimized complex SQL queries to improve system performance and accelerate data processing.
  • Architected scalable data storage solutions using data warehousing concepts to support advanced business intelligence initiatives.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring some days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Brooklyn, OH. What you need to have to be considered

  • Expertise in Ab Initio GDE and Co>Operating System – foundational for developing and managing complex data integration solutions.
  • Strong SQL and ETL process knowledge – essential for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading across systems.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts – crucial for designing scalable and high-performance storage solutions to support business intelligence needs.
  • Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting – important for automating tasks and improving operational efficiency.
  • Experience with scheduling tools/processes – helpful for streamlining and automating data workflows.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 to $109,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
