I.T. Senior Associates perform highly complex professional work in technology-related disciplines. While areas of specialization vary, typically I.T. Senior Associates perform a range of work in development/programming, communications, technical support, or similar functions depending on the needs of the Information Technology area to which they report. Work tasks include diagnosing, evaluating, overseeing and resolving highly complex projects. They have wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment and may serve in lead roles on complex programs or projects, and/or serve as a direct supervisor of a unit or group.
I.T. Senior Associates should demonstrate mastery of one or more technology-related disciplines, decision-making ability in situations related to those disciplines, and be able to serve as a resource in these areas. They may contribute to decisions on I.T. policies and technical standards.

IT Senior Associate

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Web and Mobile Application Developer to join our team. This position reports to the ICIT Director of Web Services and Digital Presence and ICIT Webmaster. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and maintaining user-friendly, accessible, and responsive web applications, intranets/portals, and mobile applications for hunter.cuny.edu.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Development-

Web Design and Content Creation-
1. Design, develop, and maintain User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) for hunter.cuny.edu.
2. Create and update content on the College’s websites using content management systems (CMS)

4. Develop multi-media and video content; ensuring all content is accessible and compliant with college web
content standards, policies, and procedures.
5. Identify and update stale or outdated content.
6. Utilize and enforce college brand and style guidelines across the entire digital presence.
1. High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
2. An equivalent of ten years of experience post-high school that can be met by one of the following: ten years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology related position; an Associate's degree plus eight years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology-related position; or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus six years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology-related position
3. Demonstrated English Language proficiency
4. A Motor Vehicle Driver's license, valid in New York State, may be required for some, but not all positions.
This title has three levels. In addition to the minimum qualifications above, To qualify for Levels 2 and 3, additional qualifications, such as education, experience, or certification relevant to the area of specialization are required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
The role requires proficiency in front-end and back-end development.
Technical Proficiency-
1. Experience developing with .NET, C#, PHP, Java, and WordPress Content Management Systems.
2. Strong knowledge of MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Visual Studio, JavaScript, Angular, AJAX, XML, HTML5,
and CSS3.
3. Experience working with PowerShell scripting, Docker, and containerization.
4. Proficiency in security protocols and firewall solutions.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Source Control Software, and PeopleSoft Tools.
6. Experience with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow and educational platforms like Blackboard LMS,
Brightspace LMS, DegreeWorks, and EAB Navigate.
7. Experience with Google Analytics.
8. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
9. Experience with user interface (UI) / user experience (UX) design, including wireframing.
10. Experience with testing and debugging application code.

IT Sr Associate - Levels 2- $114, 482 (salary subject to change based on new contract implementation and CUNY service history)
