Job Description

As a ServiceNow Developer IV on our Platform Team, you will play a key role in enabling and supporting product teams across the organization. The Platform Team is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and governing the core ServiceNow platform, ensuring it provides a stable, scalable, and secure foundation for all business products built on it. You will collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders from various groups to deliver shared services, set technical standards, manage integrations, and implement solutions that empower other teams to innovate efficiently within ServiceNow. Your expertise will help guide platform architecture, enforce best practices, and ensure alignment with our overall technology roadmap as we transition to a product-centric operating model.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • You will configure and maintain ServiceNow platform components including forms, lists, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • You will develop and support ServiceNow integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and integration tools.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the ServiceNow environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • You will participate in code reviews, enforce development best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform.
  • You will develop and maintain technical documentation related to ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • You will mentor and provide guidance to junior developers and analysts on ServiceNow best practices and development standards.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is typically acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field and/or 5-7 years of directly related ServiceNow development and administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow data flows, integrations, and application design
  • Experience with system integration, ServiceNow APIs, and cloud environments
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) and development tools
  • Experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow workflows, UI actions, business rules, and client scripts
  • Experience in configuring ServiceNow modules, tables, forms, and access controls
  • Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, or other ServiceNow modules and ITIL concepts
  • Ability to conduct fit-gap analysis for ServiceNow solutions
  • Strong conceptual thinking, analytical, project management, and collaborative skills
