TITLE: Quantitative Developer

LOCATION: Chicago, IL (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)

DUTIES: Collaborate with portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, and technologists to develop and improve upon our proprietary trading models and strategies. Develop, test, and implement quantitative models for trading strategies, using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning models. Deploy the models to production and partner with Application Service Delivery group, who have accountability for Delivery & Service Management. Build suite of reports for the portfolio managers around the model signals. Collaborate with team of researchers, developers, and portfolio managers to improve methodology behind models, code, and infrastructure that support research, with focus on alpha generation, portfolio construction, and implementation. Communicate complex quantitative concepts and their implications to non-technical team members. Continually develop knowledge of statistics, quantitative modeling techniques, programming, and finance in collaboration with other team members.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered, as a Quantitative Analyst, or a related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, as a Quantitative Analyst, or a related position. Must have five (5) years (or three [3] years with a Master’s) of experience with all of the following: Utilizing SQL, C#, and Microsoft Excel to automate data processing and enhance quant models; Applying probability, statistical methods, and algorithm optimization to enhance financial strategies implementation; Creating asset allocation and performance reports, and visualizing results for portfolio managers; Performing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to maintain data integrity and accuracy; Creating customized web APIs for portfolio managers to support data access and analysis; Analyzing and utilizing financial instruments including derivatives and fixed income securities to manage volatility and hedge against tail risks; and Collaborating with research team and trading teams to productionize derivative pricing servers.

HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)

SALARY: $138,500 - $138,500 per year

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $138,500-$138,500. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
