Job Summary: Supports all Windows development systems, with continuing support for specific Unix systems. Configures and maintains all development. Assists Project Managers and Software Engineers with new projects and system definitions. Installs operating system patches, software upgrades, software installations, and modifications of Windows systems. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four year college degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of two years experience with LANs, PCs, Windows operating systems, and office applications. Advanced capabilities with server hardware and software (IIS, Windows Server/NT) required. Must have a working knowledge of Windows Server, an understanding of the most common communication protocols and equipment, and the ability to utilize LAN-WAN management products. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with people at all levels of management. Advanced capabilities in writing, debugging and enhancing software and scripts preferred.
