As a Tool Crib Attendant, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the stockroom area. You will be responsible for the overall operations and processes, and for coordinating efforts between all departments. Accuracy meeting strict deadlines is of high urgency.
What you’ll do:
- Performing incoming receiving inspections in accordance with Quality procedures.
- Issuing parts and materials to work orders per reservations or requests, issuing parts to sales orders.
- Processing incoming and outgoing piece parts per the applicable DWI’s (Detailed Work Instruction).
- Operating the forklift to receive deliveries or send shipments.
- Processing rework parts
- Completing inventory audits and investigating discrepancies. Submit audits to the supervisor for approval.
- General administrative tasks and duties to ensure department efficiencies.
- Housekeeping, all responsible areas to be kept clean and tidy.
- Develop and manage Continuous Improvement initiatives in your assigned area.
- Receive, store and issue hand tools, cutting tools, precision measuring instruments and equipment in support of the production of aircraft parts.
- Manage document review process including review of supplier paperwork for accuracy and traceability
- Collaborate with Quality Control Department to ensure FAA, EASA and other regulatory requirements regarding the storage and handling of parts and materials
- Manage and organize the inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure accuracy, availability, and timely replenishment.
- Maintain and oversee inventory systems, ensuring vendors meet stocking levels and delivery timelines.
- Purchase tools and shop supplies based on production requirements, inventory thresholds, and engineering specifications.
- Work closely with Production teams to schedule and prioritize tooling needs for manufacturing jobs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and the shop floor for tool release coordination, changes, and approvals.
- Issue tools and supplies to employees and accurately record all transactions in the inventory management system.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage lead times and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate tool repairs, regrinds, and calibrations with internal teams or outside service providers.
- Conduct regular physical audits of inventory, reconcile discrepancies, and report findings to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool crib environment to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide training and guidance to other staff members on proper tool usage, handling, and storage.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and FAA regulations.
Position Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with tooling, cutting tools, and general machine shop supplies especially in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with inventory and tracking systems and vendor collaboration.
- Basic math and data entry skills
Preferred Characteristics:
- Experience in the field of logistics, shipping, warehouse or transportation is an asset
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain would be an asset
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated experience working with minimal supervision or direction
- Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely internal and external customer service
- Strong problem solving, reasoning and decision-making skills in a team environment
- High attention to detail with good computer skills.

Salary: $22-26 per hour based on experience
