Amazon has an immediate opening for a Program Manager in our Amazon corporate office. The ideal candidate has experience in leading large scale projects/programs from initiation through delivery in a technology organisation/role. As a program manager for IT Services, you will lead projects focused on the delivery of a new feature, service, product, or system, all of which are aimed at making us the best IT support organisation in the world. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Gathering business requirements
  • Document functional and design specifications
  • Identify appropriate resources needed
  • Assemble the right project team
  • Assign individual responsibilities
  • Develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.

Program Managers blend a mix of business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints. The successful candidate will rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary for this position ranges from $69,700/year up to $116,400/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
