As a Senior SDE on our Mobile Assistant team, you'll work with LLMs and Generative AI, shaping both technical architecture and user experience. Key job responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in developing scalable, mission-critical mobile applications, while mentoring and guiding team members
  • Design and implement robust technical architecture that shapes user experience, investigating new approaches and prototyping new technology to ensure technical feasibility
  • Drive innovation and development of key system features, working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality solutions against strict timelines
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to transform customer engagement through AI-driven experiences, demonstrating strong product ownership and technical excellence
  • Lead maintenance and scaling of high-volume applications while ensuring exceptional quality standards, driving technical decisions that balance innovation with practical implementation in a fast-paced environment

A day in the life

High-level designs, cross-team alignment, long-term architectural roadmap and technical strategy, understanding the business domain and proposing solutions to address customer and business problems, helping scope and analyze product requirements, mentorship, reviewing CRs, writing high-quality code to be an example for the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
