ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Azure Solutions Architect to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this leadership position, you will design and implement secure, scalable, mission-aligned cloud solutions that support our clients’ critical objectives. You will collaborate directly with federal stakeholders, technology vendors, and senior leadership to craft Azure and multi-cloud architectures that meet stringent federal cybersecurity and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Engage directly with federal stakeholders and technology vendors to understand mission priorities and translate them into secure, cloud-native architectures on Azure and AWS
• Design end-to-end Azure-based solutions encompassing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS components aligned with compliance standards (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CMMC, etc.)
• Lead architecture reviews and technical solutioning sessions with both internal teams and client representatives
• Provide technical leadership on the design, implementation, and optimization of solutions
• Collaborate with federal customers and the technology vendor to integrate third-party services and ensure interoperability
• Guide DevSecOps practices and automation strategies using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
• Stay ahead of cloud trends, emerging technologies, and evolving federal cybersecurity mandates

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of degree
• 8+ years of experience in IT architecture
• 5+ years focused on Microsoft Azure in enterprise or government environments
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks and policies (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, RMF, Zero Trust Architecture)
• Proven experience designing and implementing mission-critical solutions for U.S. federal agencies
• Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, including executive briefings and technical presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications
• Prior experience supporting DoD, IC, or Federal/Civilian agencies
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes (AKS), and microservices architectures
• Understanding of identity and access management using Azure AD, ADFS, and PIV/CAC
• Experience working with Microsoft Government Cloud offerings (Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High)

Clearance Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret or higher-level security clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
