About the Team

Business Technology (BT) in Workday continues its mission to deliver unparalleled value to our business partners and customers. The Program and Business Operations team works with partners within BT and business stakeholders across Workday to define, align on, and implement the strategic programs and operations. The team is also responsible for standardizing program methodologies, tools and operations/metrics across the BT organization to provide a unified experience to business partners and customers. The change enablement team supports these strategic programs by creating the change and communications plans to ensure all impacted audiences understand and adopt the changes required.

About the Role

You’re an experienced IT Change Enablement professional who has passion for the human struggle of change, the capability to rally employees around a shared vision, and an eagerness to learn and grow.

You’ll be an enthusiastic liaison between our BT Communications and BT Program Management teams — leading IT change enablement communications that ensure employees have the information they need and inspiration to adopt IT changes swiftly and seamlessly.

As a trusted and collaborative leader, you’ll partner with Workmates across the company to establish change enablement plans, communications, training and other documentation for large scale IT changes.

An excitement for rolling out new technology in a global organization and understanding change management principles is critical to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’re responsible for supporting and contributing to the development of BT solutions and deliverables. Cross-functional partners will benefit from your expertise in IT change management, communications and business transformation. Other responsibilities include the following:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive IT change communication strategy — from ideation to execution — that educates audiences about BT change enablement initiatives, including how each communications tactic will be reviewed/approved, delivered, and measured.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change communications management activities, working with respective project leaders for implementation and oversight.
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • Work closely with the Program Operations team to apply an organizational change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes resulting from a new system implementation and business process.
  • Create high-quality consumable materials that simplify complex IT processes, tools, and systems, focusing on how these changes affect daily workflows and empower our teams, Materials including but not limited to:
    • Slack messages and channels for real-time updates and quick tips.
    • Email announcements for structured information dissemination.
    • Short-form video tutorials and demonstrations.
    • Intranet pages and FAQs for self-service support.
  • Work closely with IT product managers, enablement, and communications teams to drive a cohesive approach for change and adoption across platforms.
  • Create adoption metrics for new products, tools, and/or processes and track success of adoption efforts.
  • You will act with urgency and organization to meet or exceed requirements and timeframes, especially in ambiguous environments
  • You will contribute to in-person and virtual collaboration sessions.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of work experience in IT change enablement, strategy and communications within a fast-paced, dynamic environment in the tech industry
  • 8+ years of experience with collaboration tools (G Suite, Zoom, Slack, and Smartsheet)
  • Deep experience in creating executive level presentations and storytelling
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, change management, or related work experience

Other Qualifications:

  • Certification in a formal change management methodology (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $124,800 USD - $187,200 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $118,600 USD - $210,600 USD
