Job Description

This role is responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining all refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to achieve optimal operating results and longevity. The position requires maintaining equipment efficiently and safely to minimize downtime, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment. This mobile position involves traveling to various locations in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all refrigeration and HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and production equipment.
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
  • Complete hazard assessments and comply with all safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order status in real time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo.
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections and escalate problems or issues to the customer and manager as needed.
  • Attend work and safety meetings and complete all required safety trainings.
  • Practice defensive driving at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerators.
  • Basic experience in plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Type II EPA Certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Universal EPA Certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Two years of trade school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
  • 3rd Party Certification.

Work Environment

This position is based in Murfreesboro, TN, and involves traveling to various locations. This is a Contract position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $33.00/hr.
