How do we work?

The User Experience & Product Design Team at OANDA's Tech Department collaborates closely with our Product Colleagues, Developers, and other technical Managers and Stakeholders. Our goal is to prioritize users' needs and drive ongoing improvements in our products to enhance the users' experience.

We believe in shaping the future of our Products and Platforms by incorporating visionary work into our design processes, guiding the direction of future changes.

We work in a hybrid model - we'd love to meet you in the office 4 times per month.

In this role, you will:

• Gain a deep understanding of OANDA’s products to develop effective solutions.
• Work across the entire Design Process from Problem Statement to Implementation.
• Work closely with our KIWI Design System and it’s guidelines.
• Follow an iterative approach: refine designs based on feedback, conduct testing, and iterate further.
• Demonstrate proactive involvement by organizing and leading design feedback sessions with Product Colleagues, Developers, Tech Leads, and Stakeholders.
• Contribute on 2 streams of work - BAU (high priority) and Visionary work (to inspire).
• Share outcomes of your work with Design Team on weekly “Show & Tell” sessions.

What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?

• Min. 7 years of professional experience as UX/UI or Product Designer - demonstrated in CV & portfolio (the candidates are obligated to show examples of their previous work by sharing a link to their portfolio).
• Good English.
• Fluent in Figma.
• Seeking for deep understanding the problem before will get to drawing solutions.
• Strong understanding of good collaboration & relationship between all parties: Product/Technology/Design.

Nice to have:

• Experience in delivering financial products.
