You will be working jointly with product engineering, cloud operations and the customer success teams to deliver an excellent customer experience for S/4HANA Cloud.

What you will do

• Continuously develop and mature our automation landscape (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, K8S, Python,…) to help reduce manual efforts across the full S/4HANA stack and application lifecycle in Dev and Ops
• Participate in reliability risk assessments to identify improvement measures and implement corrective/preventive measures jointly with product engineering and cloud operations
• Support Development & Operations teams during service restoration of major incidents or critical upgrades (might occasionally require on-call duties or weekend work)
• Leverage failure as learning and improvement opportunities by engaging in Post-Mortems and driving continuous improvement of services, automation, and monitorin

What you bring

• Strong technical background in development/engineering around SAP’s core components (ABAP, NetWeaver, HANA, GitHub,…) or cloud operations (systems management, monitoring, automation
• Well-versed with engineering, quality assurance and/or technical service operations practices like agile/scrum, continuous integration/delivery, ITIL, DevOps or Chaos Engineering (optional)
• Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Information Technology
• Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Ruby or Golang
• Good understanding of High Availability (HA) concepts
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes Clusters (SAP Gardener is a plus)
• Open, friendly, creative personality with service-oriented professional can-do attitude, strong intercultural skills with proven agility and flexibility and a high sense of responsibility
• Highly responsive, takes pride in always-on accessibility and thrives in fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver highest quality work under time constraints and in complex environments with little or no guidance
• Understanding for cloud technology and focus on operational excellence, experience in working with Infrastructure as a Service like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or Converged Cloud is a plus
• Out of the box thinking and willingness to make the impossible possible
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills in Englis

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 3-5+ years of experience in development / engineering or technical operations role
• Proven track record in executing high-impact initiatives on senior executive and board level
• Excellent understanding of SAP’s overall strategy as well as product strategy.
