Job Summary

This position is responsible for the day to day coordination of the Nuclear Cardiology Department. This includes but not limited to; proper staffing, coordinating processes with other departments and communicating with Physicians to ensure quality patient care. This position will include the ability to perform radiology procedures consistent with the established standard of medical care in radiology, following policies and protocols using established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum images, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality and comfort a top priority. Performs cardiac stress testing, including Maximum Exercise Stress Tests as well as Exercise and Pharmacological Nuclear Medicine Stress Tests. Administers radiopharmaceuticals to obtain cardiac imaging for diagnostic testing.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Required: Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine

Experience

  • Required: 3 Years Related Experience

Skills

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current Nuclear Medicine technical information.
  • Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Required: R.T. (N) (ARRT) OR NMCTB
  • Required: Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire date
