I am Aurelija Vileike and I am leading Content & Communication solutions team in Telia Global Services. Currently I am looking for an expert to join our team as SharePoint DevOps Engineer. You’ll join a team that combines two services: Storage, DMS, and signing services, along with a set of integrated software solutions designed to enhance communication, collaboration, and information sharing among team members, teams, and stakeholders within the organization.

As SharePoint DevOps engineer, you will…

…. be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SharePoint server farms, including patching, upgrading, and managing service applications like Search and User Profile. The role involves troubleshooting SharePoint On-Prem and SPO issues, resolving performance and functionality problems, and handling migration/upgrade tasks. Expertise in SharePoint Central Administration, Azure, IIS, PowerShell, and SQL scripting for SharePoint management is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with SharePoint Online (SPO), custom web parts, SPFx solutions, and integrations with Microsoft 365 services. Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development, including JavaScript, C#, Power Platform, and REST APIs, is essential, alongside the ability to adapt to evolving business needs and collaborate with stakeholders.

We are looking for a candidate with strong technical and analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented mindset, demonstrating the ability to collaborate with other IT professionals, and possess effective communication skills for documenting processes, creating user manuals, and training end-users.

In addition to strong soft skills, we are looking for a candidate with the following technical expertise:

SharePoint Online (SPO) and SharePoint Server versions (2013, 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition) administration skills:

  • Experience with installation, setup, and configuration of SharePoint server farms.
  • Expertise in patching and upgrading SharePoint servers, including certificate renewals.
  • Proficiency in managing SharePoint service applications (Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for SharePoint Online (SPO) and SharePoint server farm issues, including resolving tickets and diagnosing complex performance and functionality problems.
  • Ability to migrate and upgrade SharePoint farms to newer server versions.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Central Administration (for On-Prem) and SharePoint admin pages (for SPO).
  • Knowledge of Azure, IIS services, PowerShell, and SQL scripting for SharePoint On-Prem and SPO management.
  • Deep understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Entra ID, network configurations, and load balancers for SharePoint farms.

SharePoint Online (SPO) and SharePoint Server development skills:

  • Proven experience creating custom web parts, extensions, and SPFx solutions.
  • Proficiency in building WCF web services or similar backend services.
  • Expertise in integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Teams, OneDrive) and other third-party solutions as required.
  • Advanced front-end development skills, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Fluent UI (formerly Office UI Fabric), HTML, CSS, and modern UI/UX principles for SharePoint customizations.
  • Backend development expertise in C#, REST APIs, CSOM (Client-Side Object Model), PowerShell scripts for SharePoint, Graph API, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and Azure functions and services.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing business requirements and technology updates.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored SharePoint solutions and customizations.

Monthly salary range for this position: 3909 – 5863 EUR gross plus annual bonus based on your competencies and performance, as well as Telia's results.
